| Moorings Mill Rythe Hayling | Hayling Island Pontoons Ltd
The above are in the process of constructing 40 NEW finger berths at Mill Rythe, some are available now, the installation is expected to be complete by spring 2011.
They are half –tide which in practice means that a 4metre (neaps) tide at Portsmouth will enable a Mac 26 to float 2hours either side of high water - longer at springs.
Facilities at the yard are bit basic but just OK for the ladies.
There are 3 Macs already in the yard including LOMADA which draws 3ft6in.
They charge £1,800 inc Vat for a 28ft in 2010.
If anyone is interested they should call- Richard Blake – MD 02392463592.
Or they can call me on 01628483416 for a general run down of the yard.

It might interest anyone doing a resoration. We are restoring an elderly lady and are looking at replacing the spars and running rigging but have been quoted very high prices form local "riggers" Has anyone any knowledge of replacing spars and rigging at a reasonable cost?
Can Westerly Centaur spars be used and how do you get hold of good second hand reconditioned spars? Would be grteful for any ideas, contacts or other assistance ..... as we want to get the old girl in the water sailing !!! | 09-06-2010 | »» | | Volve Penta MD1 | I am part owner of a MacWester 26 still with a Volvo Penta MD1. Engine is not operating, except for very short periods at low revs. Seems to be due to crankcase pressure - oil is being forced out through every possible orrifice and when you take out the dipstick as the engine cuts out, pressure forces about a litre of oil out. If anyone has any ideas of cause, I would be very grateful. | 02-04-2010 | »» | | rudder damage | hi all, just doin some work on my macwester 29 an the shaft goin into the rudder is pretty worn an needs replacing....has anyone ever done this before?? | 30-03-2010 | »» | | Atlanta28 Keel Bolts | Hello.
